Thanks for the replies. Black bar tape and saddle going on this aft. One last thing, Pedals? Don't really want to go clipless, but any thoughts on nice chrome pedals that will take toe clips if i desire??

Thanks for all the reply's. I'm going to try and stick with the red (brownie red) for now. Black bar tape ordered and an old Flite Ti dug out to go on. I've added a pic of the left crank, it has Stronglight or similar stamped on if you cant read it. Thanks again.

Thanks Tel, re the mix, i seem to remember the guy i bought it from telling me he sold the original brakes (complete set) to a guy he met on his commute, and took the Modolo America's as part of the deal. I'll look into the re-enamelle'ing.

Thanks Charile, I'll sit and wait, i'm sure he is. I missed a very similar Fire Mountain (still geered) on fleebay which went for £102 but needed TLC. Much happier with a bike i can ride without tinkering.

Hi Scant, re the Woodman Single Speed rear hub, pristine, on Mavic 517, with XT QR, £75posted is this a disc only rim? I need V's, also does the woodman still have the spacers to adjust the chainline? Def interested if so Thanks Nathan
