    After a couple things... Either a matching set of SRAM trigger shifters (X5, X7, attack etc.) for 3x8 setup (Shimano) or just a front X5 shifter in decent condition (I already have a beat up rear X5). Might be wishful thinking, but am also after a 1-1/8 threadless headset with some life...

    interested in the forks... but I'm confused as to how a 445mm A-C fork can be 80mm suspension corrected. Is it something to do with the rake? Most other 80mm suspension replacements are 410-420mm A-C

    I second Times, especially the ROC ATAC which are slightly heavier but have a larger surface area than the regular ATACs

    I've never been a great fan of Brooks.... in fact my arse must be strangely shaped because all the "comfy" saddles people recommend are far from comfy for me. Shows just how personal saddle shapes can be.

    From what I've read over the years, weld repairs on alloy bikes are not to be trusted, especially on the highest-stress parts of the frame

    Which trails did you sample? Sadly a lot of the historic old bike trails are now off-limits to bikes, although some renegades still ride them at night.
