*Now SOLD* Mavic 501 hub on Mach 2CD2 rim

Re: Lovely looking wheel. I have a 500 and 550 on Assos Pat P's. Do you have a rear wheel to match this? Ideally I am trying to move up to 8 speed on 126 OLN using freehub technology. I need to hang up the Assos!

Sunday mooching around and cleaning up old Campagnolo kit!

I've not been shot at and they had probably not seen much weather in the last 28 years. I take it they don't make it anymore. Someone said to me yesterday that it looks like lithium grease with water in!

Interesting thoughts. Having looked at my Team Raleigh 753 from SBDU Ilkeston, I noticed that has crimped stays. Obviously not a cheap frame though. This frame does smack of cheapness despite being 531. The forks are its only redeeming feature.

Sunday mooching around and cleaning up old Campagnolo kit!

Just thought seeing as I am getting back into the scene that I would start to fettle up some of my old kit. Today's project will mainly consist of stripping down my old Mavic GP4 24 spoke track / time trial wheels and their Campagnolo Super Record hubs circa 1983. Gave the wheel an overall...

Re: I very much doubt I have any photos of it but there is ONE album I can check IF I can find it. Dropouts. No idea. I cannot recall doing that to it. From memory TV forks weren't even chrome when I got it. That's the reason I seem to recall recall the frame had already painted yellow when...

Re: It did have Carlton transfers on. The forks looks like Raleigh Professional Mk. V. And G stands for Gazelle Holland on Raleigh and Carlton serial numbers. As I am from Nottingham, you never would have a bike which wasn't Raleigh or Carlton. Perhaps the frame is 1950's or 1960's...

Re: Here are a bunch of detailed photos. I am praying someone can identify it. M The forks seemed to have been 3/4 chromed though I cannot recall that. Also it was yellow when I bought it originally but again may have been resprayed already.

Hi I have always believed that this frame was a Carlton. It had Carlton transfers on when I bought it back in 1982 and it was 2nd hand then IIRC. I have SCOURED the internet for weeks and cannot seem to identify it as either a Raleigh or a Carlton. The seat stays are rather special. Very...
