It's a series 2 with the shot in seat stays but not Reynolds K2, still got the original Cheng shin tyres same as those fitted to. Summits etc. admittedly I bought it for parts and it was only 5 minutes away.

I just bought one of these on Monday, £15 and almost like new. Not your spec though. It's got the Raleigh cromo frame and the decals say Shimano C10 but has m550 lx chainset shifters and rear mech and Dx cantis also girvin flexstem. At 19" is a bit big for me so might move it on.

I've rejuvenated a few by flushing with gt85 and leaving to soak in a tub of gearbox oil. Higher viscosity the better.

Great job, key to good paint as you know is in the prep and wet and dry the base colour to remove any texture before lacquer. Lovely job and fantastic bikes, always loved the smooth welds on these.

ok, the frame you are looking at is a 1995 Raleigh M-Trax 2000. These are built with a Reynolds K2 Chromoly steel frameset. The tubes are brazed with brass into the lugs. These are the same framesets used in the earlier Raleigh models of Summit, Peak, Ravine etc. Also available in...

Good strong frames these with nice geometry, not the lightest but can be made better with choice components. These frames are the Reynolds K2 cromoly type and are brazed, not the titanium/cromo bonded type. Price seems about right, what's not to like?

Which stx rc sti do you have? I think there are two in the 7 speed variety mc33 and mc36. I'm pretty sure the 36 are just pimped up stx mc34- so the mechanisms are interchangeable. The mc33 shifter pod always looked closer to m737 xt so not sure about them- I would guess no.

Very nice, I also love a lugged Dawes. I think this is possibly a Dawes Off Limits from 91/92 as the Edge models had top routed cables. The Off Limits had a Reynolds 501 frameset with the lovely 531 Geomax fork. Lots of money bitd but I imagine most bike theives wouldn't give it a second...

The lovely Bullet Bros chain tensioner had a couple bitd, also got this one in my box similar but attaches to the mech adjuster. I found Ging chain tensioners worked better than Dcds.

I found some repro decals for my Z3 M80 and my Z4 flylite a couples of years back on ebay, I think from a company in Hungary. They look the real deal not like the generic Bomber ones on ebay. Not sure if there still selling it though?
