    Singlespeed Epiphany

Everyone here seems to be agreeing. Let me be the devils advocate then  I don't see the point with singlespeeds. Really don't get it. And why no brakes????? More intense experience? Just don't get it. (Love the sleek looks though :? )

Modern Bike or stick with me Retro ?

Ride what you have and what you love (modern or old). Unless you're racing competitively, the differences are neglectible. What is a second here and there really. The fun is in getting out. And the real differences are in the training, not the bike.

I'm using Maxxis Xenith on my commuter. But only because I got them for free. This is a proper slick. Good tire though, but be carefull in the wet

The best TV Theme tune of all time...

Ahhh, in that case I would like to mention the bands that played on The Young Ones. Can't remeber all of them but Dexy's midnight runners, Madness and Motorhead come to mind.

Yeti-mans Cannondale for me as well. Nothing like a well used bike. Never got the point of garage queens.

    Oh joy!!!!

It's a sunny day. Temperatures are above 0 again. For some reason I have a Kylie song in my head. And I just spotted a woman on a bright green Team Fat Chance with the carbon Pace front suspension. :D Aaaahhhhhhhh, some days life just feels perfect. 8)

Advice required - Road bar width

As a rule of thumb (no exact science) the bars should be as wide as your shoulders. Especially narrower will be uncomfortable.

Is it possible to run a 8 speed derailleur with 7 speed cog

Have any pics of your M700? I have the black with green splatter one from 90 or 91. Great bike. Extremely stiff frame.

Onza brakes, useful at last ?

Don't think these brakes were too bad. As far as canti's go, these were the best I ever owned (never tried campag or similar though). But yeah, they cracked after a while.....
