the esa is listed in the '89 35th anni catalog on my site ESa was the last incarnation of the Mexico the Nuovo was the master pre cursor with 4 crimps , ESA may have extra stiffness compared to the two , I have been blessed to have ridden most steel Colnago models

i will probably change tires for gum walls, and may extend to brooks barwrap as I'm liking the brooks, for once I found a frameset I feel is suitable for it

so, as you can imagine, i was feeling gutted,i mean, what's a bike freak to do in this kinda predicament? I toued with the idea of finding a Knight in Shining armour/machinist/engineer to try to fix or find a solution, but nah, i just found an earlier frame with out forks in the same size!

I believe it's an early to mid 80's frameset, given the allen bolts on the stay caps. As I was about to start building, I noticed hairline crack across the stay caps, eventually leading to one cracking right through

I got this as part of a 'Bundle' in a yard find, with it cam an Eddy Merckx Professional with fully panto'd Campagnolo Super Record, a Gazelle Champion Mondial AA and AB frameset, and a 35 litre rucksack full of Campagnolo-150 euros for the lot, on the AB frameset the Campagnolo Victory Gruppo...

Re: aye, wise words, I was lucky with most of the camapagnolo stuff, but I think the stx is fast and performs well, xt is smooth, not all that impressed with the Olympus gruppo on the Master I renovated got an offer I couldn't refuse for it, so it went, i'm half minded to keep an nos gruppo...

Rides well, just turned up outta the blue, nice and low key, getting a bit disenchanted with using campagnolo on the the stratocaster and the argentovivo, could end up putting lipstick on a couple o'pigs, may look out for xt,so progress on hold re them

i lost the comedy rack and stem stack factory spec shimano stx , fir rims, 3ttt cockpit, always wanted an army green ride, this is also in hardtouch paint
