Used to have a rear wheel with one of these. Same color. Indeed, nothing special quality wise, but keep it greased up and it will last you a few seasons.

Re: Very nice. Have had a look at this one myself, but am thinking of going for the Genesis Croix de Fer. Loving the campagnolo parts. Been missing their disc brakes and mtb style cassettes. Have you considered a red flite? :D

Can see the advantage of a new one. Actually saw one on the back of a car at a rest stop in France a few years back. Was very tempted to wait for the owner and make an offer. Just too small however and no funds..... Lots of luck with the build. Must be great to build your dream bike exactly as...

Re: 1993 - Basso That looks stunning. Basso is a respected brand for racing bikes and their bikes from the 80s-90s have really nice finishes. What is the tubing used for the frame? Certainly a keeper this one. Enjoy :D

Here in Norway we have DBS who had an 'Intruder' and my favorite the 'Penetrator'. Might have just as well called the 'Burglar' and 'Rapist'. -EDIT- Just realized this should be in the terrible bike names thread. Oh well they make me smile.

Very nice bike. Always been a fan of Basso bikes. When I bought my second road bike it was between Basso and Casati. I went with the latter because of the chromed luggs. I'm no perfectionist by any means, and I love the mix of parts on the bike. Even though I think the Galli brakes are great...
