    1999 Sintesi Bazooka

Does Dave gti drive a Volvo? When comparing the new(er) bike I bought, I think I could use the lowest setting of the rear frame height on the bazooka. (I guess that would give about the same angle on the frame).

    2009 Commencal Supreme DH

I called a local bike shop and they told me that I shouldnt try to fix this my self, I have have never done such a thing before. However, I'm too impatient to wait... So I removed the part and it was VERY easy! Figured out what had been causing my non-traction problem. I have read about many...

    2009 Commencal Supreme DH

I bought this yesterday It has been used very little and was in good condition (before I started pedalling)... It lasted about 1 hour, before the freewheel went out on me. Cant really compare that "quality" to the old hope bigUns on my 1999 Sintesi Bazooka :P (lasted since 1999 and 0...

Re: bazooka Hi, that's a very nice looking bike collection :) Did you paint them your self? I took some pics of my new(er) bike and the bazooka together: it was foggy on the mountain yesterday :)

    1999 Sintesi Bazooka

I am more and more considering purchasing something new or something slightly used. If buying new, I like the look and parts of the ghost dh 7000.. though I dont know if I wish to invest that much in a bike :-P I'm really on "the bench". And today I found a nice Kona Stab Supreme DH 2008. It...

    1999 Sintesi Bazooka

Have you tried a modern bike vs the 99 bazooka? My bazooka is updated in the shock department though, 180mm travel front and OEM was also 150mm in rear. The rear shock is not the original one though (I have rebound and compression adjustment, so its not the kangoroo the bazooka was with the OEM...

    1999 Sintesi Bazooka

I posted a bit short yesterday, did it from my phone. The thing is that the 99 bazooka is 13 years old :P And I imagine that riding on a newer bike should be way better? Of course the bazooka can handle a lot! However I would think a new bike with 200mm front and rear travel would eat more...

Yeah, they are only 13 years old. 1999. The thing is that i have 205mm brake up front. The rear hope is attached to the hub and uses 160mm disc.

Ok, I did two trips down our mountain "ulriken". The headset survived fine, but I killed my 21 year old mavic. Or, it's semi-killed. It actually broke on the first run and I did yet another run. (624 metres high mountain). Still works though, but I need to fix it. Maybe I'll buy a new...

I guess so, with a new bushing on the outer leg. Its attached with a C-clip, easy to disassemble. If its not for sale any more, I guess one can 3d print it.

Hm, strange. I cant find the black/red combo on the crankbrothers website (exception beeing the 1/2", though that looks different). Anyhow, I'll just check what happends :P I didnt overtight it for sure and I have done some hours bicycling with it already. When I ordered the headset, I...

    1999 Sintesi Bazooka

Hm, but they are using a different headset though: • Material 52100 bearing steel • Preload aluminum/steel 25g • Upper bearings sealed 28-ball retainer • Lower bearings sealed 34-ball max Mine is: • Material: 440c stainless steel lower • Preload aluminum/steel 25g • Upper...

Lol, that looks crazy.. But it makes me wonder if they ordered the right headset? If it sits loose it will crack either headset or frame :P

It's the "opium c" (dh version) of the crank brothers. I have no slack even with barely tightening the upper screw.

yeah, I've been riding this bike since year 2000. The bike as it is, is quite good. I also replaced the old shimano 636 pedals (SPD) for some 520.. The 636's where also completely worn out :P in the end, even the spring for the SPD was too weak to clip properly (even when adjusted)...

    1999 Sintesi Bazooka

yeah, but the lower bearing was ready for replacement. Maybe one could change just the bearing... but the seat should have been changed too.. Also I guess new bearings are as good and have a lower stack height :-P I dont know if I can ship the cranks out of Norway, as we have an insanely high...
