    Strange pub names

These aren't in the same league of innuendo/double-entendres, but there's 'The Spite' above Otley, which has a story attached to it http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/365305 http://www.blipfoto.com/entry/172115 Aberford (to the east of Leeeds & just off the A1, but was on the original...

    Female forum users?

There used to be a reasonable;y sized group of woem rode the 'Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross Assciation' races when I did them, having not raced for about 2 years I can't answer for now though. However, on the running side of things, I'm sure that we have more female members than male in the Club...

    Pace Factory Demo

Never went there, but did visit Adrian (& Steve) at the old workshops at Leeming (near Haworth/Denholme, not Leeming bar up the A1) a few times, & also when they were in Wilsden (south of Bingley/west of Bradford)

Mine was resprayed blue, with chromed fork-blades, cranks & stem. I know I've not had it for a number of years, but still regret selling it

    Pace Trials RC100

I'm sure my namesake had that in his 'ownership' for a while, & I've seen him with it (or Robert messing about with it) I certainly remember him letting me try the 'Purple Descender' when that was new There's a chance that I might see the pair of them 'a week on Sunday' at the 'Stanbury...

    'Man v Bike'

This is due to divergant courses, & a large amount of climbing for the bikes (runners have it steeper, but shorter) 'Old Ned' on here can vouch for the climbing ability/speed/'palmares' of the cycling winner I mentioned (Nedly!, I mean Nick G, as if you didn't guess)

    'Man v Bike'

Did anyone from here enter it???, as there was a few 'old-school' bikes in it. If you didn't, you missed some good fun But, I had been told though (by a friend who's a previous double winner) that since he won the course has been redrawn & is now virtually impossible for a rider to get...

A Bit of Cycle Racing History for £2.00!

I saw Nick G this morning (called into his office before going to get changed myself) & told him about it. It sounds as though he may come over, but obviously it's up to Maxine ('Management', as Ray Moore used to call his wife on his Radio 2 show) If I do end up running the PECO (11:00...

Chain cleaners - Park tool vs Finishline

I had one as well, mine just 'disformed' (to the point of the lid not fitting & brushes refusing to rotate!) due to the red-diesel that I use for the chains on all my bikes Now, I just use a 1/2" paint-brush, it's stiff enough to penetrate the links, & get all the crud off

Shall I ask his sister (Josie) the next time I see her (or Mike; her hubby) if Barry wants them back?? They still live in Stanley, the families 'home village' By The Way; Paul, I take it you know that it's 'Thornes Park Cross'* this coming Sunday?? (I'll try & get a message...
