'94 Alpinestars AL-D900, old frame, new parts

This is my first retro bike build. I picked up the frame from here (thesneaker) after stumbling onto this site looking at old mtb's from back in the day. I always liked the look of the Alpinestars e-stay bikes when I first laid my eyes on one back in the early 90s. Here's what it looked like...

Quite possibly the most expensive bike?

Apologize if this has been posted previously... Saw this as I was perusing fleabay, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Litespeed-Talia ... 43a8f4d3d6 It's from the same seller who's listed a Fat Chance mtb for $6k. Dunno about you , but $25k is a bit absurd for a bike, even if it is a triplet...

The Grello Campy Fat has a challenger!

Everyone has seen the Grello Fat Chance bike listed on eBay for $6k. Now it has a challenger in the "absurd" asking price wars. I present to you, http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-BONTRAG ... 2567558d80

So many nice things on Ebay.com

Sad, that Fat Ti is in name only. Dunno why the owner converted the head tube, it totally killed the uniqueness of the frame.

    Help! Alpinestars gurus: seatpost clamp?

Dunno Rampage ??? It was sold to me as a 1995, just a guess from the seller and I tend to agree. I've tried to narrow down the year online.

    Help! Alpinestars gurus: seatpost clamp?

OK, old banger here suggested I try a 34.9 clamp. Luckily I keep take-offs from my bikes. Digged into the parts bin for that clamp I knew I had from my Stumpy. Found it and tested it out. It fits! So anyone else wondering - a 1994/95(???) Alpinestars D900 aluminum e-stay frame takes a 34.9...

    Sunn Obsyss Forks

Yeah, they're easy to work on. Just watch out for the little screws for the at the top of each leg. Easy to lose and strip them. Problem is sourcing new seals.

    Help! Alpinestars gurus: seatpost clamp?

This question goes out to the Alpinestars guru's out there. I have a 1994 (I think) Alpinestars D900 aluminum frame. Pre-cursor to the AL-Mega I think. Anywho, the frame came without a seatpost clamp and I'm looking for a replacement. So the $64,000 question: What size seatpost clamp do I...
