    i think i will keep a eye out on some forks shaun thanks for the option though seen some chrome on ebay in the past for a tenner no rush it was only the start of the project only just finished my mountain bike project

    they were originally 27" wheels but fitting 700x28 wheel combo with a 3/8 spindle cant believe i tried doing it a moment of madness

    wanted set cheap forks with at least a 165mm steerer 1" threaded for a vintage fixie build originally they fitted a 27"1/4 wheel and tyre combo but now i am fitting 700x28 wheel combo so what you got folks

    just tried it nearly broke wrist when drill snatched and now knackered forks any one got a set cheap with at least a 165mm steerer

    its a 3/8 spindle with nuts on not quick realease and i think the cap in the forks is 5/16 old school size its the font froks off the obrien as i am converting it to single speed so bought new wheels

    i have picked up a obrien see pics in other thread but as i cant seem to get and info on it i am going to turn that into a single speed when i get a chance working on a mountain bike scratch build at the min from a carrerra vulcan frame which is now bright orange powder coat

    shaun i hope so as was gonna get the frame blasted and power coated and turn into a single speed but its looking rare there was a o brien bike shop in coventry so maybe your right but did see one on gum tree 6 weeks back idenical bike need to knowe the year

    well it seems i have a 27" on the front and a 28" on the rear so gonna go 27" all round i think as old wheels are well rusty
