    Kenda K36 27 x 1/8 Tyres.

1/8 is 28mm wide whilst the wider 1/4 is 32 mm. In theory the narrower tyre should be easier to cover distance but less compy on your rump.

    Kenda K36 27 x 1/8 Tyres.

Audax. No real reason other than they seem to be readily available Stateside. Panaracer bit pricey. .300 psi !

    Kenda K36 27 x 1/8 Tyres.

I have made contact with Kenda UK regarding importing these tad narrower tyres. I have had some feedback;i mainly wanted to know the ERTO size and type of tyre. I explained that the tyre seemed to be available in the USA but not here. Anyone interested? If so, register your interest here and...

    Carlton Criterium

Yes I did. The ones I found are narrower. Not much choice for 27" wheels.

    Carlton Criterium

Anglian. Looks a good buy. Almost as when it left the factory. My Corsair has the suicide brake levers. I've fitted new outer and inner cables and even using the extentions it seems to stop. However, I'm not convinced by their safety so looking.at some Dia Compe aero and non aero levers. Keep...

Thanks Anglian. I will. Just need a few things. Seat (San Marco Regal) and tyres. Not sure if to replace the Weinmann GT brake levers with Dia Compe Non Aero type. Quite fortunate nothing much more to do. It just needed a good clean/de gunk, lubricate and service plus new outer and inner cables...

    Carlton Criterium

I had also been watching this Carlton on ebay. Thought it looked pretty original. The distance killed it for me or I could have been tempted. Just bought a Corsair for £40.00 plus £20.00 delivery. All original. Chuffed with my purchase. Would be grateful if you can advise on the brake levers...

It was Rich34's '76 Galaxy - now The Dawes Galaxy thread!

Re: It was Rich34's '76 Galaxy - now The Dawes Galaxy thread Sorry to hi-jack this thread. Searched for 27 x1/8 tyres and this thread appeared. Having issues trying to find these tyres, plenty of 27x 1/4. Trouble is those size tyres will kill me when I'm up against the alloy and carbon guys in...

    Carlton Corsair Handlebars?

Had a good look at the handlebars tonight and there is no markings to mention of just pure chrome which have cleaned up nicely. I don't think it has been touched for years but I did not those Sun Tour Power Shifters work a treat. Washed and polished the framedown. Generally not in bad shape...

    Carlton Corsair Handlebars?

Just taken delivery of a Carlton Corsair. Needs work but will keep me quiet over the winter months. Stupid question but what make of handlebars were fitted to the Carlton Corsair? The Corsair was made June 1980. The stem is branded Raleigh but nothing is visable on the bars. Although the frame...
