I've been riding my '97 Adroit for a year now and always thought of it as a pre-trek classic Klein as it was handbuilt using gradient tubes in Klein's Washington factory before Trek took over production in 2001/2. Does this make it a classic? :?

Yeah I was always on the lookout for a Xizang but they only ever came up when I was skint. I've heard they were a really good ride. Do you care to comment? :)

Yeah my RC200 was a dream to ride. Dunno why I sold it in the end. I think that and the Yo Eddy Team were the hardest to part with :cry:

Many thanks for the tips guys! :D I used to be a fan of quality steel (P7 and Yo Eddy were fantastic rides) but now I think I should stick to Alu/Ti for weight reasons. I'm going for a really slinky cross country bike which can be used for commuting too so weight is probably the governing...

Although Trek acquired Klein in 1995, Klein carried on making them in their Washington factory until 2001/2 when production was moved to Trek's factory in Wisconsin. Mine's a Washington built one with gradient tubing - I thought they were among the more sought after ones before Trek took over...

Bought it off eBay last year for £800 with a pair of 2004/5 XTR wheels (not the crossmax style ones) then fitted all the Sram/Mavic stuff at a further cost of £600. Forgot to mention I've added Avid Speed Dial Ti Levers and XTR V Brakes as well :)
