    First off is the E4 brakes. In fair condition for age, pictures do all the talking. Front is No.6, rear is No.8 Both with closed system Pro levers. All completely stripped and rebuilt less than 6 months ago with new seals - although one of the levers could do with new crush washers. Good...

    Re: Ahhh I see! I wondered what the difference was! That would explain why my front brake has a silver top, I thought someone has just got a replacement that didn't match.

    Re: I've googled hope pro lever, and it is the same as my front brake... They look identical from the outside, it's just the seal in the reservoir that differs (from quick inspection anyway). What is 'open' type?

    I've ordered a rebuild kit for my front brake lever, which is a dh4 lever, which I thought this was too, until I took the cap off and the seal differs. This has a seal under the cap where as the dh4 lever has a piston inside the fluid reservoir. Here's a pic of it, can anyone help? Thanks :)
