I don't think road suspension forks were around for long enough to be considered as a trend. There were a chosen few picked out to use them but the forks didn't catch on, as most of us know. Which year did Gilbert Duclos Lassalle use them? I will take a stab in the dark and say he won Paris...

    Daylight Robertsery?

Same here. A couple of hours shoveling gravel or earth takes 2-3 days recouperation before i'm " back to normal" again. Riding the bike feels good for my back, luckily i don't get any aches and pains. Happy days👍

    Daylight Robertsery?

You don't necessarily have to ride around on a bike that's too big for you to get a bad back, you could get knocked off your bike that suits you aswell, just that happened to me 😀. Btw, my back is better but it has required rehab exercises roughly 6 days a week.( if anyone*s wondering) Apologies...

    Colnago Master Gilco '96

I think the road i'm refering to is the A470. It's roughly 35 years ago since I rode on those roads. I got all nostalgic when GCN made a video from that region, that reminded me of my youth.

    Colnago Master Gilco '96

I suspected it might have been in Wales, it looked quite similar to the road into Brecon. A great ride in sunny weather.

    Orbit Excel Dura-Ace

If that is logs for a woodburner then you should split them in quarters and it will dry out better/faster. This will reduce the smoke and soot while improve the burning. Maybe you know this already while someone looking at your photo doesn't 😀. The bike is pretty classy looking btw.

    Project Wheeler 7100

I might be wrong but I'm led to believe that Wheeler is a swiss brand.

    The Welsh Argos

Hi Nob. I wonder if you have had any contact with Derek Rogers lately since you started this fantastic project? I started racing tt in (19)84 in the juvenile age group. As the season went on i had heard about this rebel figure who took himself & his bike to races on a motorbike, whereby he rode...

    Calling all 80’s Raleigh experts!

They might have been in the Raleigh catalogue as early as 83, i would guess 84 and may have still been available 86. I bought a Rapide 1983,so i'm 99% it's from this span of years. I get the impression that the bikes ,especially road , that Raleigh produced after this period were offered with...

    1991 Peugeot 531Pro with 105

Hate to break it to you but the shoes are ready for retirement. I had a pair of those aswell, back in the 80s. They were great I only had Sidis untill the beginning of 2000 when they did something to the tongue that made them uncomfortable for me. Now i use nothing but shoes with BOA and...

    Another DIY rear derailleur cage.

He has explained that it's a prototype and it he's pimped it with some Drillium so it ought to tick your boxes. I judge it as a hack. It does the job without costing a sh**load of dosh.👍👍. Chapeau i'd say.

    Valuation advice needed. Vitus/Lipscombe/Hansom/Moser/Holdsworth/Colnago/Merckx/Hetchins/KRF

I saw a video(??) on Youtube made by Bikeituk recently that was about Graham Weigh and his private collection. Iirc, he mentioned that the white Vitus frames are quite rare. I don't have a problem with being corrected and the interview was very interesting and well worth a watch, IMO. Good Luck...

Thrift store beauty: 1981 Trek 710

I thought it was in the unwritten rule book of cycling? Othewise it saves you from putting your arse out in the road if you need to take the wheel out. If all else fails it's all down to symetry and aesthetics, take your pick;)
