Re: Have a look under the bartape. My suspicion is that it's a repainted Raleigh Rapide without the Raleigh headbadge remounted. The bars may be Raleigh stamped SR. The dropouts might also be Gipiemme. Don't take my word for it as i'm purely guessing. Good Look.

Re: I know they're replceable. The only problem is that the asking price for replacements is £44 from a seller on Ebay. That's not gonna happen. My other option is to get hold of som V-brakes instead & put the cantis in the save them just in case box.
