swapped out Manitou fork for rebuilt stick Judy Took the OEM Judy XC & rebuilt it using the "Total Air" cartridges which seem to be no longer available :( I really like them and the bike was designed to run the Judy XC anyway. My mech told me that he thought I should keep running the Manitou's...

My Nuke Proof stolen ,..and BACK ! again :)

My heart dropped at reading the 1st post but turns-out that you got it back. Can't really put a price on a bike like that IMHO so it's good that you got it back.

    1995 Independent Fabrication Deluxe #153 18D

Can't wait to see the finished product. I Think I had an SRP, 8 spd, Ti cassette a few years back but one of the cogs was misshapen/not caught by quality control & therefore I couldn't use it :(

    broken San Andreas

My question too. Do you want to swap-out the swing-arm because it was welded? Is the weld shown in one of your pics? And welcome too :)

    1996 Marin Eldridge Grade

I was also looking over those for replacements for my "Total Air" cartridges, in my Judy XC's, once they eventually blow-out. Total Air, sadly, closed shop :( so when they go, I would like to have the guts/internals in reserve ;) Looks like you did get a good price too :)

    1993 Marin Bear Valley SE

Fantastic find in great shape and respectable groupo. Crank looks solid enough too. I would also molest it as little as possible IMHO.

My NOS Adroit to Di2 UPDATE

Enjoyed reading the thread very much. Wish I could've been there in the Post Office when you went to pick-up the frame :P Very nice touch w/ the Flight Gear too. Top-notch work. Wasn't aware however that Flight Deck had the battery power sufficient to shift gears but I'm not up to date w/...

    '94 GT Psyclone

steer-tubes don't look very long or is that an optical illusion? Some riders do prefer a more forward/aggressive posture, for off-road riding, as it facilitates more controlled, technical steering.

1997 GT Xizang Build Update 26/07/2011

Once I get my finances sorted I'll jump into the fray on ebay. Would love to get a retro Ti frame as Ti & steel have the longest life. Not so much for carbon & aluminium

    1994 Alves 753

The frame is very unique/a keeper. Couldn't make out the wording/script on the top tube from the pics though.

1997 GT Xizang Build Update 26/07/2011

I just found out last week that GT used to make Ti frames. Eventually, I'd like to get my hands on one. ;)

    1997 GT Timberline project

I'm also looking to put a commuter together that doesn't draw too much attention. The older bikes do the trick and are actually better in many ways. I've got my eyes on an old Nishiki :P
