I like that. "less controversial wheels" :P I have kept my eyes open for those Tioga wheels for years. Never saw > a couple of them.

My heart dropped at reading the 1st post but turns-out that you got it back. Can't really put a price on a bike like that IMHO so it's good that you got it back.

Can't wait to see the finished product. I Think I had an SRP, 8 spd, Ti cassette a few years back but one of the cogs was misshapen/not caught by quality control & therefore I couldn't use it :(

My question too. Do you want to swap-out the swing-arm because it was welded? Is the weld shown in one of your pics? And welcome too :)

I was also looking over those for replacements for my "Total Air" cartridges, in my Judy XC's, once they eventually blow-out. Total Air, sadly, closed shop :( so when they go, I would like to have the guts/internals in reserve ;) Looks like you did get a good price too :)

steer-tubes don't look very long or is that an optical illusion? Some riders do prefer a more forward/aggressive posture, for off-road riding, as it facilitates more controlled, technical steering.

Once I get my finances sorted I'll jump into the fray on ebay. :wink: Would love to get a retro Ti frame as Ti & steel have the longest life. Not so much for carbon & aluminium

The frame is very unique/a keeper. Couldn't make out the wording/script on the top tube from the pics though.

Very nice. I also like the Euro spec. Fortunate for you to find one in that great shape too.

I just found out last week that GT used to make Ti frames. Eventually, I'd like to get my hands on one. ;)

I'm also looking to put a commuter together that doesn't draw too much attention. The older bikes do the trick and are actually better in many ways. I've got my eyes on an old Nishiki :P
