Ok the frame is legit with the BB and all. There appears to be a tubing sticker under the second bideon cage, if you're seriously interested, ask for a closeup of that. 1500 CAD is quite a tall order for what might well be a lower range 80s frame (wild guess because of old-style BB). Sachs "New...

Also with the hard bottom gear of yore there was very little need to shift when climbing -- i.e. when the hands were on top of the bars.

I got a bargain (resprayed) steel frame to roll around town, the seller claims it's a "Raleigh 50 Road Race" and came with 650x28A hoops. Will probably fit with budget 650b wheels, but if anyone has info on the frame, I'd be happy to learn about it, and maybe even attempt a more genuine(-ish)...
