    SOLD - Peugeot, Reynolds 753, Size 25"

Re: Most Peugeot 753 and 653 frames seem to be 26.4mm (Ive had 3), although I had one in 753 that was closer to 26.6. I was always astounded at how light my first Peugeot 753 frame was for a 25". Nice purchase for the new owner :)

The one and only "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread

Cheers, much appreciated. Looks like the one on ebay sold for 145. which seems a bit steep for a front mech! Sounds like this group is hard to come by? Found this one fitted to an old 10 speed Peugeot mixte for some reason!

The one and only "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread

Not too sure what this is, looks like a Record Off Road front mech: http://velobase.com/ViewComponent.aspx? ... 0&Enum=113 Its in very good condition, looks almost NOS except for very small nick on the front cage. Very nice piece of kit actually.

What is your average speed on a road bike?

A lot will depend on what state i wish to arrive at my destination! If we're talking commuting then i rarely exceed an average of 14-15.

Shimano 600 sti problems. Big ones.

I can confirm what others here are reporting. Flooding with WD40 or similar has sorted out a couple of early 8 speed type STIs for me. However, should this not work stripping them down is indeed 'tricky' Its much like dismantling a camera - extremely difficult and likely to end badly...

    Park Headtube Straightener (HTS-1)

Yep thats the beastie! The black tube goes through the headtube and the other part connects via the U shaped bit to the bottom bracket. The handle can then be twisted like a jack to push the headtube back into place. In my case the headtube is only out very slightly its hardly even...

    Park Headtube Straightener (HTS-1)

A rather rare piece of kit this apparently, but does anyone know of any bike shops that have them in their armoury? (preferably not too far from Cambridge!) Long shot I know, but thought Id ask!

12t or 13t threaded Uniglide Sprocket

They did do a 12T. I sold a 7 speed uniglide wheelset that was 12-21 ratio, not very common though

    Oh Wiggo

Budget steel weight weenie - Help me shave 500g

RX100 rear mech is quite weighty at 280g. I run a RD-6208 Shimano 600 rear mech which clocks in at approx 200g as is. Replace the rear brake caliper with a single pivot (such as exage sport).

Thinking of changing my rims ?

Both are good rims. Open 4CD probably just edges it for me, but a nice shiny new pair of MA40s would be hard to resist!

Full shimano sante groupset with wheels!- SOLD

Nope, if anything it was close to 600 Ultegra (many people thought it was identical with a trendy set of clothes, not true) but between that and Dura Ace in the Shimano line up. RX100 was actually almost identical to 1055 (think the cranks were slightly heavier) and that was available in...
