Each one of your bikes look as though they've never seen dirt. Either that or you fully dismantle each and every fastener after each ride and hit the thing with the Q-tip and soft toothbrush. Maybe these are just your wallhangers and you have other bikes you ride?

I should add (before Yetified scorns me), it could also be an early 89. They switched to 1 1/4 headtubes late summer that year.

That's an early '88 or older with a 1" headtube that's been sent back to Yeti at some point for all the fixes like the seat collar and the chainstay gusset.

The RC equipped Merlin in CT ended up selling for $700. It also came with a pile of XC Pro parts too.

Just curious, is it normal to make up your own names for bikes on this forum? 50 years down the road someone's gonna wonder why it's called a Team USA Attitude and sadly nobody will know why or that it's even wrong. There was a Team Issue build kit with this frame offered in in 90 and 91...

I think it was Helfrich or Augsperger (both of which were at Fat in 85 or 86) who started to work with ti. They then started Merlin shortly thereafter. The early renditions are pretty cool and had ti forks. I don't think Fat ever had their name on one until maybe 91 or so??

Mombat's info is a tiny bit misleading which is probably causing you to assume that the 87 bike is a replica of the 86 bike. In 87 the bike was the WTB-Trek Team bike, not a "replica" as mombat states. 87 was the only year they rode the Trek.
