Ne1 know where to find info on Rocky Mountain Bikes history? I've seen the site with the catalogs, but I would like to see more. I'm sure there is some rocky fanatic out there with a site dedicated to this great canadian manufacturer. (formerly great IMHO. now they are owned by Canada's...

    retro bragging rights...

Wade Simmons handed me his Rocky Flow and told me to throw it over some Dirt Jumps. I did a few jumps until I hit nose first into a landing. It was Marzocchi's first year of the DJ1 fork, and thank god too cause it soaked up the hit and saved me from greater embarassment. That bike also had...

The next BOTM special - a few ideas

Definately like the "Action Shot OTM". No elitism (not that I really care if there is). And it gets us off our couches. Poser shots of bikes in the driveway are nice, but boring to look at. How many xt thumbshifters can a guy handle? I should add though, that I don't have a single picture...

Custom, and I mean real custom.

Anyone into custom cruisers? Choppers? Lowriders? I was just on another site and there is a section dedicated to such things. But because the site was American they were all store bought schwinn choppers and Electra cruisers and then some tall bikes. Pretty Freekin boring. Choppers are so...

    Hahana

A bike from my garage. Wish it were my size. Then I wish it were mine (it's my sister in law's). Cool nonetheless. 8) Anyone guess the vintage? All original down to the packing grease on the chain. [img=http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/6564/tomarch12012xl0.th.jpg]

When do you qualify for being 'IN' with the LBS?

I knew I was "in" when I started to visit the shop to they would deal with everyone else that came in the store first. customer: "I think he was ahead of me in line." shop guy: "Oh he just hangs here, he can wait." I really knew I was in when they started paying me. :D

    Reccomend me a 1" Aheadset

Kings rock. And you will get yor money's worth out of them. If you don't want ot be a part of the "Chris King Club" though  and you just need a headset that works and will work for years to come, FSA Duron comes in a 1". I love quality componentry, but I've had a headset made up of 4...

    Backpeddling Inc.

The shop I work at could be considered a retro gold mine. Bins full of old parts. Some nicer stuff set aside in cases obviously. Frames, accessories, you name it. To name a few goodies: 1988 Blizzard, mint. Huffy colorado cruiser (early 80's I think). PK ripper, DBR, Hutch, Haro. A stack...

    the Blizz

I have to agree with you Sam R. My blizzard is the best handling hardtail I've ever ridden. Way nicer than the stiff "hydroformed" and gusseted bikes coming out of the marketing machine today. (A generalization, I know, there are some nice new bikes being made). The paint on mine I would...

    The 'Introduce Yourself Here' thread

Canadian Blizzard Hi all. Figured this would be a good location for my first post on this forum. I work in a store in Canada (guelph, Ontario). I see alot of vintage parts go through and it's kinddled my interest in bike history for years now. I can't believe I didn't find this site...
