Replacement Rear Shock for MTrax ?

My Fox RP23 arrived yesterday so I was able to complete the installation. It took a couple of minutes. This is what it looks like now:

Replacement Rear Shock for MTrax ?

To complete the circle... I ordered custom bushes from the recommended supplier TFTuned. They were very helpful and the parts arrived the next day. I haven't seen them yet as I had them sent to my father in the UK (so they didn't get lost in transit as sometimes seem to happen) and he is not...

Shock Bushes Thanks a lot, I had no idea such things were available.

Replacement Rear Shock for MTrax ?

I have a (UK) 1999 MTrax with Reynolds 853 frame that I rather like. However, the rear RST22A shock has failed leaving only a bouncy spring. Does anyone know what I could use to replace it? None of the aftermarket shocks I have looked at would appear to fit unless I have custom machined bushes...

    Raleigh Gran Sport

A bit late in commenting but... I had one of of those from new in the early 80s. It was exactly as in the picture and a really nice bike for the price with a surprisingly good spec. Unfortunately I ordered it with a frame size that was a little too large for me so I sold it to a friend. I...

    Old Campagnolo Tool

"Nice tool to have but not essential, IMO" Absolutely true. But I remember when the Campag seat pins first came out (I was 13 in 1958) thinking how nice they were - but definitely a luxury item since all saddles came as standard with a mounting bracket for a tubular pin.

    Old Campagnolo Tool

Seat Pins The 1044 pin was for saddles with rails 36mm apart over a 60mm length, the 1045 was for saddles with rails 20mm apart over a 120mm length - according to the 1958 catalogue.

    Old Campagnolo Tool

Seat Pin Spanner It seems that the angled seat pin spanner was part number 771 and was introduced in the 1958 catalog, along with two versions of the seat pin. Pin 1045 was for "normal" saddles where there was a front and a rear top clip and a left and right base clip. Pin 1044 was for saddles...

    Raleigh Team Replica Mid 80s

This is a frame I bought new in the mid-80s from JD Whisker in Kilburn and built up. It is almost completely original including the paint. Obviously the saddle and pedals are later although I still have the original Record pedals and toeclips. The "Turbo" saddle fell apart. The frame is...

    Old Campagnolo Tool

Not especially earth-shattering but I just realised that I have owned this Campagnolo T wrench for around 50 years. I bought it new when I was 15 from EJ Barnes in Westbourne Grove, Notting Hill. I am just as surprised to find that they appear to still be in business. My other local dealer at...

Raleigh Dyna Tech appreciation and information thread

Custom Frame In that case I will have to get a photo of the one-off 531 mountain bike frame that Gerald O'Donovan made for me in the early 80s. I gave it to a friend but he still has it it. It was rather unusual in that it was built for Suntour roller cam brakes. I had to buy the brakes and...

Raleigh Dyna Tech appreciation and information thread

MTrax Elite Titanium Not a DynaTech but here is my MTrax Elite in brushed titanium. I bought it new in 1998 (H serial number) from Stows in Windsor. Some of the components were upgraded to XT immediately after purchase but otherwise it is pretty original, even the tyres. I think it is a 300 or...
