the cult is real - '91 Bridgestone RB-1

Nice. I've been tempted to pick up an RB-1 over the years.

    Pre 1999?

Thats a good looking bike. I've been playing with various versions of butterfly shifters from vintage Suntour Command to modern friction Diacompe and I've enjoyed using them (although mine are mounted along the brake levers). I haven't used that version, but I've seen them on a fair number of...

    Valuation advice needed. Vitus/Lipscombe/Hansom/Moser/Holdsworth/Colnago/Merckx/Hetchins/KRF

Some very nice bikes there and all in my size. Too bad I'm an ocean away, poor and he doesn't want to break up the collection. The Vitus wouldn't be worth much here - they don't seem very popular at the moment. Aluminum - particularly bonded aluminum - doesn't get a lot of love.

'94 - Maybe Mavic Neutral Service? - GT Edge

That's very nice. Mine came with a steel fork - interesting to see it with a carbon one. I think if I were to get another one I'd look for a 56 as I found the 58 very stretched out for my old back. Or, I'd see if I could get a Ti version.

    Ultimate retro mud-plugger?

Cheap with lots of clearance. Used Surly Troll or Crampus? Or better yet, a pugsly or moonlander.

Not another 91 Kona Lava Dome

I test rode a number of Lava Domes over the years - they were great bikes and well worth returning to a collection.

Chinese 26" tan walls -Innova Pro 'Bobcat' and 'Cross Fit'

Its funny, BITD I didn't care what my MTB tires weighed - I just wanted good traction in the mud and rain, a reasonable price and some puncture protection. Now I'm always looking at the price to weight ratio.

    The MS Racing/alpinestars story.

Ya, mine has cantis. The yellow has also changed to an ugly yellow brown sadly.

    90's black Nitto Dirt drop.

I've seen Kallaloy ones in black in the past, but not nitto. Although BITD Nitto may have made black ones as well.

USA made wooden wheels, all for tubular rims 2x26 1x700

I would imagine you are looking at a very limited market for those wheels. Ebay may be your best bet for marketing.

What's wrong with Isis bottom brackets?

I was destroying square taper non-drive side crank arms on my old Norco Sasquatch with STX-RC regularly so Octalink/ISIS made sense to me from that perspective. I don't know how long I ran my ISIS set up before I got a Hollowtech style crank. But I'd say go square taper or hollowtech just...

    Brifters and grease!!!

FWIW I stopped using WD40 in favour of a real penetrating oil for cleaning old brifters and it works so much better. I've been using PB Blaster (Canada), but I've read there are some better products out there. I've been using jig a loo spray lube, because its in my shop. I'm sure there is...

    Brifters and grease!!!

No grease. Just spray a light oil lube in there to keep them working.

any love for old Brodies out there?

I test rode some of the post buy out Brodies in the late 90's and they rode well even though they didn't have the cachet of the hand built ones. Heck, my ti road bike is an Asian built Brodie and its a nice bike.

    Not vintage or French Tourers/Campeurs, Trade/Porteurs, Audax/Randonneurs, Commuters/Town

Did they? Originally I thought it was their ES frame but with fatter tires. I think the Fog Cutter is basically the same frame, but with discs.

    Not vintage or French Tourers/Campeurs, Trade/Porteurs, Audax/Randonneurs, Commuters/Town

Its funny to me that when that frame came out it was such a radical idea and now it seems a little under tired.
