    Somec MTB

Hi, I managed to get a quite unique Somec MTB frame. There is no serial number on it. The front is Cantilever and the rear is U-brake. Do you know anything more about this manufacture? I haven't seen another Rodeo model anywhere.

1987/88 Scott USA - Serial Number OH 001

In my opinion, it is a production from the beginning of 1988. The original Scott saddle on my bike is from 1987, the seatpost is the same as yours from 1988. It's a pity that there is no information about this model because it does not appear in the Scott catalog from 1988.

1987/88 Scott USA - Serial Number OH 001

This is the answer I received: thank you for reaching out. I am very sorry to say that I don't have any catalogs that go back that far, and the serial number doesn't pull anything up on my end. I wish I could be of some additional assistance, but it seems that this bicycle is older than any...

1987/88 Scott USA - Serial Number OH 001

Hi, I recently purchased a Scott similar to yours. It's in a little better condition. What's different is the frame's serial number, you can see it starts with F8... I'm guessing it's an '88. The seatpost was cracked in the same place, so it's probably a manufacturing defect. What's left of...

Does anyone have a catalog from 1988? I haven't seen a similar bike from the materials available to me. Perhaps it was a short series?

I'm not sure but I think the windriver and boulder in 1988 had similar frames. And here's something completely new. Today I managed to buy a 1989 Windriver II on the XT group ;)

    Show us your Scott!!

Hi, I have a bike like Scott USA which, according to the catalogs, has a frame similar to the 1987/1988 Boulder. Does anyone have any additional information about what series it was and how to paint the frame in this way? Thanks for any information.

Yet another ID the bike game....well.... wow!!!

Thank you very much for the set of information. Indeed, the frame is identical to your Gilles Berthould. The difference is the painting and the Deore II mt62 group, not Deore XT. There don't seem to be many of these bikes. It's hard to get any information about them.

Yet another ID the bike game....well.... wow!!!

Hi, It's been a while since the last post but I wanted to get some more information from you. Recently, I managed to buy a rather unique bike in very good condition and in the original specification. The whole thing is on the Deore II MT-62 group and on a frame similar to the one in the...
