    Stuck seatpost orange clockwork

Also, if you look at the photo above of the front of the frame, the lower silver rim has started to rust. What can I do about that? if I file it down, will that cause the rust to come back worse? or could I file it down then seal it with something clear? thanks

    Stuck seatpost orange clockwork

the masking tape in the photo was there as a marker for when i tried to move it. As I mentioned I have tried to move it using clamps and mallets to no avail. It wont move up, down or turn. Ive read of some people filling the frame with caustic soda, which will melt the alloy but not damage...

    Stuck seatpost orange clockwork

Thanks guys, I went on shldon brown's site and found these two options which i will try this week: "heating is worse than useless when you are dealing with an aluminum seatpost stuck in a steel or titanium frame, because aluminum expands twice as much as steel for the same increase in...

great thanks, I have taken them apart, and cleaned them all up, was undecided weather to convert to springs or not, but decided to go for new elastomers. I ordered them on the 2nd October, and they are yet to arrive. I'm hoping everything will slot back together very easily, and hoping that...

    Orange clockwork 1992 stickers

I have a black Orange clockwork from 1992 I think. The stickers are faded and warn, and I wanted to replace them, Have called Orange bikes, they have none of this type left. So was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere I could source these? Or does anyone know what the font type is so I can give...

    New Elastomers or Spring conversion?

Seems like there isn't a clear winner in this question. Even the poll is 50/50! I hoped I'd be persuaded one way or the other, but I'm still not sure. Thanks for all the comments so far. I think I'm leaning toards elastomers, but will leave it another couple of days before ordering to see if I...

    New Elastomers or Spring conversion?

That is for the manitou 3/4, will it fit Manitou 2 forks? Its also more expensive than I had hoped. If the spring kit I have posted is no good, should I go for the elastomers then?

    New Elastomers or Spring conversion?

Srings: http://wings-suspension.com/manitou.html Elastomers: http://www.suspensionforkparts.net/esho ... oductId=26 Good point on the springs not needing to be replaced so often, I am leaning toards the springs, and they are slightly cheaper.

    New Elastomers or Spring conversion?

that would mean buying both sets, as I can't source them individually. So I need to decide. How pogo stick like are springs? is it worth sticking with elastomers and not having as much travel? I beleive the springs do come with dampers that are placed below them.
