    Removing crank with stripped thread?

Hey, I've got a new one for this problem. I tried all the above with a combined crank and rings which made it worse. Saws, big hammers, drills - everything. The only thing that got it off in the end was (and this only works if one of the arms is not stripped) take the good arm off and screw...

    Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous......

Well, after posting that I wanted a mid nineties Saracen a few weeks ago. I now have three!! that's on top of the Marin SS project and the modern felt I'm running ...I only wanted one ha ha. The best is a mint Tufftrax, it's like new and a lovely purple colour....it did cost a bit though. :oops...

Yea it's mine. I was really after the wheels/tyres that came with it on flea bay for £11. But might build it up now, the paint looks like it was really nice in 1995 but it's all peeling off in rather a strange way now (almost like a wrap), so it's a start again job.

While we are on the subject of random Saracens, has anyone heard of a Forcetrax? Looks like a mid-nineties effort but never heard of one before, not sure where it fitted into the grand scheme of things?? Any ideas?

    Coolwall Oct 2010 - Saracen

This just goes to show how a brand can be damaged beyond repair with bad management and cost cutting. It's a bit of a conundrum because on a retro forum you could read it as a judgement on the other bikes but the question has been asked of the brand as a whole. Personally I'll always think of...

    Advice required - RETRO RANT

Got some pics this morning...not sure if they will help?. I have tried 2 bottom bracket axel lengths and neither bring it close enough to the frame... 122 and 73(I think) The new set is an Alivio, low spec I know but that's so I don't ruin anything expensive!! Check out the old mashed up...
