New project - 2002 Turner XCE

I don't. I sold it to years ago and it felt like I was abandoning my baby. Back in 04, I sent that Fox Vanilla RC shock to Push Industries when they were still a small company in their original building in CO, and it made that frame 10x better.

New project - 2002 Turner XCE

That brings back some memories! When I finished grad school back in 2003, Supergo or Cambria Bikes was clearing the 02 XCE frames out for a thousand bucks or so. I convinced myself I "deserved" to splurge on a new bike (its easy to settle any dissonance when you really want something!) I...

cheap x fusion air shock 190mm ideal spare shock

I haven't used a rear shock from X-Fusion, but have used 3 of their forks. For the money, I have been beyond happy with the performance, and their customer service has been top notch. This seems like a no-brainer for somebody looking for a simple shock.

    Riding with the doggo...

I've got a question for everybody. Both, my dog and I would benefit from getting on the trails. BUT, I have this vision of opening my car door and watching my sweet dope (Husky/Boxer/Akita/Retriever mix) just running away or ignoring me while in the forest. I have to assume there are threads...

Jesus Crow...these look like they just came out of a time capsule! You gotta love the early 90s colors on that 2000.

    Whats my frame made from

I mean no disrespect, but I would be surprised if it's a Merlin. Their welds are amazingly clean and the dropouts on their older bikes don't look like that. Also, Merlin stamped their company name and serial numbers on their rear dropouts. But, you do have a titanium frame there...just not...

How easy is it to build your own wheels?

Take a poke around here. I built my first wheelset using Sheldon Brown's site. I have to assume there are more modern resources out there, but this is pretty comprehensive. https://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html

What have I got here ... Santa Cruz Clone?

A company called "SuperGo" used to sell them back in the day. I know SugerGo shut down their online store a while back (not sure if they have a brick and mortar in California), but I have no idea what happened to Weyless bikes. I used to love the day when the SuperGo paper catalog would arrive.

    Wanted 14'' fullsuspension frame

I'll have to remeasure, but I have a beautiful 2005 Titus Moto-Lite that my wife rode all of 10 times and I think its a 13.5" frame. If interested, I'll measure and send a few photos to you.

That is an amazing paint job. I'll be sure to do all of the prep work, but I'm quite certain my finished product wont come close to this!
