If you can find a set of Pro Class IIs, they are oil/coil with no air - I quite like mine, but hard to find...

Can the Paces not be serviced? I have just fitted some RC36 pro class II to my bike in perfect working order.... Alternatives would be something like some MZ bomber Z2? You'll struggle to find decent 26inch forks new, especially with < 100mm travel...

Pretty sure disc mounts came after 98 - my 98 O2 doesn't have them... 99?

All done now - see my build thread in the >98 section! Ended up giving up on Nitromors and used Maxolen powerstrip - much more effective. Otherwise exactly the same process - wire wool and stripper, a good clean up, then Mother's ALU polish with some cheap Amazon drill pads... Just have to...

Frame stripped - that was painful! I highly recommend the Maxolen Powerstrip paint stripper if anyone else is trying this! Now to the polishing!

Nice - I doubt I'll achieve a finish anything like that but I can dream! Use case is similar for me - a bike to take out with the kids and an occasional "proper" ride. Maxolen powerstrip arrived today and is easting through the lacquer much better than nitormors - thanks for the recommendation!
