Nigel Dean Triathlon - Suntour Ole group

Thanks - I came to pretty much the same conclusion after some searching. Now that I've trued the wheels, replaced most of the inners and re-taped the bars I took it out this morning for a short ride. Not sure I'm a fan of the 20c tyres but other than that it rides quite well :)

Nigel Dean Triathlon - Suntour Ole group

TBH it's too big for me too. I keep thinking it looks OK in the photo and finding 62cm frames. I nearly said I'd leave it but I driven quite a way so decided to take a punt and see what it's like to ride.

Nigel Dean Triathlon - Suntour Ole group

Picked this up recently on impulse as new the name and had the 531 frame. Wasn't familiar with the Ole group-set. Some searching has revealed a little but it's still quite a mismatch - pedals by MKS, Accushift shifters by Suntor, calipers by Dia Compe yet all white with the Ole logo...

    1989 Raleigh Quadra Series II - 62cm - 531 and 105 group

Re: Re: Thanks - corrected. I was a little confused by the brochure as for the Elix, Delta and Strada it says "531 butted main tubes" and for the Quadra it just says "531 butted frame tubes". However, in the summary tables at the back all four say "3 tubes 531 butted" so you're right.

    1989 Raleigh Quadra Series II - 62cm - 531 and 105 group

Lovely Raleigh Lightweight bike. Reynolds 531 main frame and forks and 105 group-set and wheels. This is the largest 62cm frame and 'though I am 6' tall and can just about stand over it it it a little to close to me hence the sale. More or less original in good condition. I think probably only...

'93 Kona Lava Dome hack bike project....

I said similar. My FM was a 1991 I think. Pretty sure I replaced the forks it came with with 1 1/8th ahead ones. I thought that would be OK for a hack bike hence the offer. Cheers

Got mine nos on ebay. Think that's your best bet to keep an eye on.

    '91 Kona Fire Mountain conversion

Braking is fine - the adapter really doesn't effect it as it basically just raises the pivots up so the power is just determined by the caliper and lever combination.

    '91 Kona Fire Mountain conversion

So an impulse buy of a Mavic 26" to 700c brake adapter meant I had to do something with it right! Cue a rather tired '91 Kona Fire Mountain with plenty of non-original parts. After a raid on the spares bin and a few purchases and here's my new commuter. Kept with P2 forks brought from here...
