    L'Eroica Britannia 2015

Weather ended up being OK, tiny bit of rain on the ride, bit windy in bits, but somehow I ended up with a tan! A very enjoyable day – pleasantly surprised, as I enjoyed last year's so much I was expecting to be left a bit disappointed by this year's.

    L'Eroica Britannia 2015

Camping is Friday/Saturday/Sunday (I think). Think charging for entry to the festival is a bad move – the locals last year were all behind it, very welcoming and it had a great atmosphere, it will be a pity if they aren't as involved this year (which I think wanting to charge them £10 to have a...

Did it last year and the festival was a brilliant part of it and kept Mrs Dave happy while I did the ride.

Fresh from it's triumphant :-) debut in L'Eroica Britannia the Rourke is now for sale see the For Sale Complete Road Bikes section for all the details – if it were a bit bigger I would definitely keep it, but it's sale will go towards a new (bigger) bike.

    Brian Rourke circa 1980 21.5" £350 Manchester

I bought this Brian Rourke bike from the forum to ride in L'Eroica Britannia, which I just did – it's done it's job faultlessly so its now up for sale to go towards a new project – the Rourke's always been too small for me, otherwise I'd be keeping it. The gory details: It's circa 1980 (I...

    L'Eroica Britannia

Rode up there on the Friday – had a look round, back on the Sunday and did the 30 mile route on the Brian Rourke I'd got for the event – I can honestly say it's the best cycling weekend I can remember – such a great friendly atmosphere – and I even got to meet "Sig. Eroica" himself .

    Brian Rourke

I heard that Mr Rourke himself organises the Cat and Fiddle Challenge – which isn't that far from where I live – and it's in aid of Cystic Fibrosis charity, which my cousin died of when we were 12 – maybe something I should do before the bike's sold – though I think I'd struggle to do it on any...
