    Narhay's 1991 Rocky Mountain Fusion

Yeah, I had a look through the catalogs and this one matched the '91 perfectly.

    Narhay's 1991 Rocky Mountain Fusion

Thanks. Everything on it is working very well. Of course when you get into the closeup shots you see some grime and wear you wouldnt normally with the naked eye but so it goes. If it becomes a commuter it will be filled with grime shortly anyways.

    Narhay's 1991 Rocky Mountain Fusion

I picked this Rocky Mountain Fusion up to do a bit of a rehab project. It will probably go at cost to a coworker who wants to throw some slicks, rack and fender onto it to commute to work if they like it and it fits. It has obviously been used but from what I see it looks like it had been...

    Merlin Titanium

Done! Almost...there is a creaking coming from the bottom bracket, at least 2-3 creaks per rotation. I think I may need to replace it.

    1991 Team Marin

From whence it came. I have turned this one back into a commuter for now. I still have the knobby tires to go trail riding but it is mostly used for commuting to and from work. New additions are the flite titanium saddle, xt sharkfin chain stay protector, and the Tioga 1.95 city slicker...

Purchased these. Hope they work out. If not I have some expensive paperweights. http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie ... 0526721371

Thanks. I have the m10 I believe and they were too big. I might give the m8s a try. I checked and there might be a mm or two of recess in the screw area for the fork but that might also be because the threading can't go all the way to the outside. I'll give those m8 bosses a go.

This one is still on the go. I've opted for XT V-brakes and XT thumbies and have them installed on the bike. Unfortunately I am missing the cantilever bosses on the fork and can't install the front brakes until I find a set. Anyone know of a source or have a set sitting in a dusty corner? :)...

Sourcing cantilever posts/bosses for Rock Shox Duke XC

As the title states I have had my Merlin Titanium sitting in my living room for the past few months. All that is holding up the final build is to find some cantilever bosses/studs/posts for a Rock Shox Duke XC fork to install the V-brakes onto. From some research they might be M8 but I'm not...

LF: Rock Shox Duke XC Cantilever Boss Bolt

http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_trksid=p ... &_from=R40 There are these but I'm not sure if they are the correct type.

LF: Rock Shox Duke XC Cantilever Boss Bolt

I believe these might be it below. Hoping to install my xt v brakes onto the fork but I don't have the bosses to do so. I could purchase them below but shipping to Canada after it is all said and done comes out around $20+ per bolt which seems like a bit much...

    Merlin Titanium

I will opt for not modifying the fork permanently. I thought there might be a brake bridge with a cable hanger that screwed in with the cantilever bosses but that appears to not be the case. I'll look for a rigid black steel fork locally but may order one if that option dries up. I can recoup...

Now, the probably $12 question : where can I get one :)

    Merlin Titanium

Thanks for the links. My issues lie in that if the suspension fork bounces up, the cable between that headset hanger and the cantilevers at the fork would reduce in distance, effectively making the brakes useless. I would need something that would connect to the fork brace bridge in cable...

    Merlin Titanium

It has two areas where I could screw in brake posts/cantilever bosses. I am wondering how to hang the cable if I were to go with cantilevers as I already have the levers and stem...some sort of adapter bridge to hold the cable I imagine as it is stationed on the lower end of the forks.

    Merlin Titanium

I also dislike the stem. It is holding me back from mounting the rest of the parts. Also, I might have to resort to V-brakes due to the front fork and not cantilever friendly. http://www.ebay.com/itm/J-L-Titanium-MT ... 3f0de7757c This would be ideal but I don't have $125 for a stem. These...

The saddle hasn't been mounted properly yet and looking at the zoomed in hubs...I might have another go at polishing those out a bit more,

    Merlin Titanium

A bit of an update on the Merlin. All that remains is for me to find a stem that I like and to sort out how to mount the cantilevers on my front shocks. I imagine there is some sort of U that can hold the cable and I can screw in some cantilever bosses into those slots on the fork. The bar...

Kona Cinder Cone 1992 - finished with lots of pics P3

Re: I got an email from the LBS, the other day...(Kona conte Looks like my living room. I would recommend regreasing your headset if that is what your crusty dried hubs look like.
