Help with headset / Pace RC37

Tried today to (unsuccessfully) install a Cane Creek headset I bought off here. It was sadly missing an inner ring part of the lower bearing so the fork moved around. However, I was more confused about the top part. The top of the headset has this kind of threaded in bolt, which inside has an...

    Helmet advice

Now I don't own a helmet at the moment - had one years ago but god knows where it ended up..... So, on the lookout for one and wondered what was considered the best for performance, but more importantly for me, best value for money. Probably think a full face one is a bit of...

A Haldon hill exeter ride 12th june.

I "might" still be driving my courtesy car on 12th June (Peugeot 806) so could in theory carry 3 people, plus 3 bikes (inside) with no need to collapse them. Depends how quick my manifold on the Skoda can be repaired...... Its in a bad way. Slight exhaust leak :D

A Haldon hill exeter ride 12th june.

12th is good for me, but it gives me less time to get the Proflex done. I don't fancy doing anything too rough on the (entirely stock) '95 Indian Fire Trail. LOL

    eBay and Paypal fees...

Yeah, I am sure this is the case. They now charge 10% on final selling fees so it is very tempting to advertise small "cheap" things for 1 penny and bring in the price into the P&P. Paypal then take 3.4% + 20p I think, so it gets very expensive. At least for private transactions with...

A Haldon hill exeter ride 12th june.

Potentially interested if my 957 is rebuilt by then. Would need to clarify which day it is though. The 19th could be tougher as its the day after a corporate challenge I am taking part in on Dartmoor, and I could be totally knackered for the rest of the weekend (takes me longer to recover @ 32...

    1997 Proflex 957 resto/build thread - FINISHED! wooo

Well, repairing the shocker has set me back £80 + VAT  but at least I know it will be like new. The R&R on this bike is starting to cost me as much as probably buying a complete good example off Ebay would have, LOL. Hope its worth it in the end! Once the shocker is installed, all...

    bring out your pro flex's

Had my 957 since the year 2000, so doubt it ever really belonged to anyone else on here in recent times. :D

Rebuilding mine. Got wheels for it now. Just needs some technical work doing. Replacement headset, then gears & brakes. Should be there soon after some tarting up

    sorry wills and kate

Prep'ing my car for trackday. Checking fluids, change to trackday wheels, load car with spare wheels, etc. All done now pretty much.

Fuel economy - What do you get?

Not for economy I don't think in my case, but my car feels a little perkier and smooth on Vpower, due to the higher cetane rating. I also add Millers Diesel fuel additive to boost the cetane further. I would be interested for someone to do the same spreadsheet as me (I can email my...

Fuel economy - What do you get?

My average is officially 45.77 at the moment, based on 2,658 miles done using Shell V-Power Diesel. I started a spreadsheet when I first started using it. (Bit sad, but I wanted to see if the +6p/7p price was worth it over normal diesel)

Fuel economy - What do you get?

My precise theory with my motor. 8) Fun and reasonably frugal. Also not bad to insure (£450 for modified tailored policy) and £110 tax for a year. Also, I save a lot of money having my laptop installed with diagnostics so I can fix a lot of issues (or at least diagnose them) myself right...

    1997 Proflex 957 resto/build thread - FINISHED! wooo

They'd be excellent if not red - Not much in keeping with my bike I don't think? I reckon I want something black, maybe dark grey. Needs to complement a black metallic theme. The shocker is off to Mick Gardner Racing tomorrow for refurb and hopefully will be collecting a pair of wheels from...

    Proflex in Birmingham

Oh yeah, missed that! Didn't even know they did a flex-stem LOL. Looking back now seems a pretty good way to go about it on the cheap. :D

    Proflex in Birmingham

I don't see it elsewhere. Sure looks old. Why did they come with "some" rear suspension but rigid front forks?
