"Isn't modern bicycle technology absolutely wonderful?"😍

A friend of mine who co-owns a modest-sized bike brand was explaining the madness of the component buying side of his business. Bike frame manufacturers bid up to 5 years in advance for groupsets from the big 3 component makers, they will be briefed on what the groupsets are likely to need by...

The mother of the dog's dinner build

I picked up this very tatty frame a while back - from one of my favourite makers. Easton RAD tubing so should be fairly tough but not too heavy. It is designed for 26" wheels and v-brakes or hayes 22mm mount discs. I rode around on it for a while as a drop bar 26er just to see if the hayes to...

"Isn't modern bicycle technology absolutely wonderful?"😍

There's a person in the town where i live who has converted a mk2 (i think) to electric. It's the oddest thing seeing it pull away noiselessly at speed.

    1980 Witcomb restoration

Lovely! I love a Witcomb. Ben Serotta learnt his trade at Witcomb. Barry repaired my old mtb frame. He was such a kind bloke. I used to love visiting that old mediaeval shop!

    Reduced RIDGEBACK STORM frame/ forkset

We used to have a fleet of these as our shop rental bikes. They are great - surprisingly light and really nice riding. Too big for me otherwise i would probably buy it off you.
