    (S) Selling 2 FSR frames (1994, 1995)

pm replied :) In addition: The red frame is cheaper because there is rust under the paint on the top. Make sure to take a close look at my other pictures please! The green frame looks like seldom ridden as there are almost no chain marks or stone chips. Shock is working on both frames...

Hej stumpi, I can understand that. The green frame ought to be the second size of 5 (16,5 / 18 / 19 / 20 / 21,5 were the sizes) as the head tube lenght (C) is 90mm. But the length of the top tube is more like the 19" version :?: Sizes for 1994: Sizes for 1995:

twain: maybe shadow would be nice, yes. but maybe I discovered my problem: I use a 8speed STI XTR 950 with a 8speed cassette and chain with a 9speed RD (952). Does anyone KNOW if this may work properly?

Ah, you have a shadow RD. Different (and functionally better) stuff :) Thanks anyways, if my problems continue I'll try a shadow RD, too.

a short question: could you all be so kind to take a picture of your bike's right back? So we all could see how your cable is routed from pivot to the rear derailleur? many thanks!

I'm quite curious to hear your results as I already use continuous cable outings and still have GS :(

Uhh, many fast and good responses, I'll try to answer them. S-M: Ghost Shifting normally comes under pressure, then you pedal easy, nothing should happen. But I experience GS also while staying seated. Even with locked rear shock. Easy check: Go to biggest sprocket / lowest gear and check...

Is anyone else experiencing ghost shifting with his FSR? I am trying to find out the cause for this and have lots of trouble... It starts with 4th and 5th gear and goes to 2nd till 7th after 1-2 hours of riding. When I readjust the RD, everything is fine for some kilometers... :( Changes...

The Ground Control (w/out FSR) have been bad frames actually, they were real shock crushers. (Like the early AMP B frames)

Max Backbone is only possible on rectangular tube frames. These were stiffer but heavier than the round ones. Max Backbone should be a sticker on the chainstays or so, these were also thicker than the normal ones.

Personally, I don't see a sense in 210mm i2i. Your tuning linkage will allow like 130mm travel with a 165 which changes geometry quite a bit if you don't use a 130mm fork in the front. Going for a 210mm i2i will completely destroy all angles of the frame. It will look (and ride) like a...

Travel normally is 10cm/4". Tuning linkage come up to 12-13cm. And if you have a good damper, it feels quite modern and is definitely enough if you don't do downhill stuff. But that would also require modern disc brakes and no v-brakes ;) I don't think, you can bottom out a rear that is set-up...

BB height ist bottom bracket height. The distance from ground to the BB. If BB comes high, risk of getting stuck with your crank is lower. But higher BB changes your geometry. I don't KNOW if 9.5" i2i is too much. But I THINK so. But just try, take a picture before and after the change to see...

I think the "flippable" linkages are with holes one below the other. Duck's is a "normal" one. He can only increase the travel by choosing the foremost hole, as far as I understood physics :)

And as i'm a lunatic, a list of the FSR of 98 and 99 I could find. Please feel free to correct and add! i don't like the catalogue setups from 1998. Too plump, heavy and cheap. And I've NEVER seen a Pro before. Neither live nor pictures. 1998 (silver and black on tail, rounded frame)...

Isn't this already a tuning linkage, is it? Maybe you could go for a longer damper instead? edit: duck, is the golden one below (last image) yours? looks quite similar to me?
