A pair of hope closed disc brakes

Re: You won't get a post mount C2. If the goal is to be retro-ish or have a matching cockpit you can run levers from that generation that will look almost identical but one for closed and one for open....then run an more modern open calliper on the rear (M4 silver callipers are probably the...

    Boxxer 151 / Pro Parts - Spacer - Axle - Stanchion

Wondering if someone can help me out with a few parts. I have a Boxxer 151 that has needs : 2 x Spring Spacers (32mm) 1 x Axle end nut Could probably also do with a 32mm stanchion. Will accept a whole fork at a push, maybe you have a wrecked one sitting around? It can be 98-99-00-01...

    Square 73mm shell e-type 113mm BB?

It is an odd hard to find one nowadays.... 73mm shell plus e-type at 113mm. Will consider anything, even if it is a bit rough will do for mocking up and testing before I have to spend £££ on Phil Wood. Ta Ian

My 99 Lobo Restoration and build

Moving slow again...thanks for all the nice comments btw, I appreciate it although I know the frankenlobo is starting to look like something that should be on PB :P I hope it shows I'm not just trying to make the wheels turn here, it needs to work and more than just down to the shop and back...

anyone here into airgun hunting for woodies and rabbits?

Dunno, I'm not that comfortable shooting things that are alive and crawling about a field at night with a giant torch just ain't my bag but if it is legal its legal and ultimately I'm not a mad animal lover so I don't care. :D I've had a full FAC for ages, some rifles, long barrel revolver...

My 99 Lobo Restoration and build

Sorry, it is bad news. The wheel will not mount, you can see how far it extends into the rear....a long way! :( :( I did try to put a rim in but it was hard to hold it and take a photo. It is 40-50mm too big diameter, it would fit if you had 24" wheels I think.

My 99 Lobo Restoration and build

Lol! :D It won't work, the remote reservoir hits the arch :( I lowered the trunion a bit and put the shock back the correct way. This gives me more travel before the spring touches the arch. Almost full travel, I measure 2" of shaft now so it did gain me some. It might now be ok...

Ledlenser and fenix versus China knock offs ?

Eagletac are made in China, no? :P SRP is abrasive, it has cut, don't be putting that on reflectors! I have loads, nearly 30 lights, I have some $20 lights and some $300 lights. In my experience it is all in the QC. Some of the cheap lights are DOA and need threads cleaning, o-rings...

    Anyone ever lowered their car?.....

I appreciate a lot of people go the cable tie route but it is just stupid really, the amount of energy in that spring while compressed is huge and when you can get compressors for a tenner it's madness to risk it. You'll have trouble undoing the front strut top nut as the damper shaft will...

What size is your frame? This is small so has a very short tube but I understand, it looks very tight and close on the STS Lobo with regular Coupe shock. I don't think I can turn it around, tyre will strike it but I will try tomorrow!

My 99 Lobo Restoration and build

Hmm, really should have tried the shock sooner :P Small Lobo built up and this is the first time the shock has had the ring on the bottom, so previously I've been guessing/measuring to find out if it would fit. I was pretty accurate but not enough. It will work but when it bottoms out and...

I saw that frame too and thought the same thing but it is too expensive! :D I have never seen the Pro fitted to a Lobo. I will mount it on my spare frame later and show you.

    14500, 18500 batteries and their fitment ?

Big difference in my lights, you cannot draw enough current from an AA. A few are almost twice as bright but runtime is obviously less.

Okay, lets cotinine the never ending stream of pictures, I've posted so many a Flickr Pro account has just added to the expenses... (The pics are always clickable for larger btw) If you spray with real gear and everything is perfect you will get a good, maybe even great flat finish but...

    Fork oil advice

To be clear, you mean 160mm (milli-metres) = 160ml (milli-litres) ? no :P None of my manuals mention quantities, just heights. Fill, measure, repeat.

I've lost the plot really  I will ride it without doubt but will I ride it in risky situations, intended use, down the side of a mountain? I hope I can but I'm going to cry as it inveitably becomes battle scarred. I haven't ridden in a long while so it won't be an issue at the start :P

It was time to swap the mounting lug on the bottom of the Pro Deluxe shock...There are no good PDF manuals because they mostly detail the non-pull shock version. The old mounting on the Coupe Deluxe just came off without fuss but the PD one was a right bitch. After griding down a spanner to...

CRT Vs LCD Monitors and TV's

Nothing you can do about the living room, get a decent LCD or Plasma and enjoy HD material blowing away what you know, SD will look bad compared to CRT but you have to live with it. On the PC, unless you game or need (easier) colour accuracy then you need to buy a higher end LCD panel...

CRT Vs LCD Monitors and TV's

In the living room you have no choice, plasma or lcd will have to be chosen based on what annoys you the least. In my case I went lcd but next time plasma. For the PC, just waching and surfing a good £250+ ips lcd is great, using an ips panel removes of the annoying traits for me. It has to...
