    Re: Just weighed this; the complete bike comes up at just under 9Kg / 20lb. Not bad for a large frame with wide bars, big tyres, large cassette and disc brakes.

    Thanks! To be honest, the OEM Hope organic pads supplied as part of a full refurb by Hope of my Mono Minis are getting better and better as they bed in further. Will keep them till they wear out.

    I've got a set of Hope Mono Mini 2004 brakes on my Marin; they've just been refurbed by Hope and supplied with new Hope-branded organic pads. Which organic pads are the go-to for these brakes? What's everyone on here using? Are Kool Stop a decent upgrade from stock Hope pads? Cheers!

    Re: ** Stooge Scrambler 29er ** Love this! Got a set of Milhouse bars on a 50mm stem on my Marin Team Ti; like you say, they don't feel wide at all coming from much narrower bars. The 'x0.44' magic number worked in my favour as well!

    Re: Another Kona Hei Hei **pre-build** Just cover the bars with a couple of layers of masking tape and pry open the stem clamp by turning the bolt through a thin nut against a piece of metal.
