    Identify the bike challenge!

Cheers for the info and contact details WD. I'm going to try and get in contact with the original purchaser if I can and find out exactly what colour it was new, then I can hopefully make a decision on whether to take it back to original or stick with the easy pink, as it were. When I get...

    Identify the bike challenge!

Crell - I don't think it's original because the original order states Bright Red as the colour. It does have the Blue Swallow head badge (I edited it out to make identification harder!) and also a swallow motive cast into the fork crown and also the bridge between the seat stays. Interesting...

    Identify the bike challenge!

Cheers for the comments guys. Interestingly the original order sheet lists the address as being in Essex whereas everything else I have seen shows Swallow being based in Shropshire or Wales so maybe they had a satellite office or somesuch. I will try and take some better piccies tomorrow...

    Identify the bike challenge!

Its a good name for a goofball, portly, would be mountain biker though! :D I've not heard of the Shogun before so thanks for the piccie Gadro, I can see why it was a popular guess. Excellent analysis Doctor-bond. Logically thought out, good observations and you were so close it hurts...

    Identify the bike challenge!

Mmmm, Marina... ahem, not an Orbit. The handlebars are not original and I could really kick myself for leaving the originals at my brothers house because he threw them away. :x

    Identify the bike challenge!

Well found Jonnyboy!! Briefly, Dick Spanner is one of Gerry Andersons lesser known creations. My sister in law suggested it when I needed a pseudonym a couple of years back after me, my brother and a mate held the first competitive race around the Rockingham oval on our mountain bikes...

    Identify the bike challenge!

Excellent replies so far. Roberto gets the dunces hat for guessing the obvious and in this case incorrect GT. Also, I like to think that it is so pink, it's positively macho. The Dawes crank is a red herring, I had to replace one and was given it!

    Identify the bike challenge!

Hi everyone, I thought it might be fun to let you guys have a stab at identifying my old steed having dug it out from the very darkest corner of my garage following a slight setback with my newly recommisioned Orange E3. Please excuse the poor quality of the pics and the poor state of the...

The Introduce Yourself Here Thread III

Hi everyone, I discovered this site a couple of weeks ago and thought it was time to quit lurking. Having considered myself a fine figure of a man it was somewhat surprising when my dear wife said "Oi, fatty, get away from the window you're blocking out the light." minutes later as I locked the...
