Wanted Rock Shox Sid 1999 or thereabouts. Condition unimportant, or perhaps borrow some for a bit?

That's incredible, thanks for the offer. As far as I can tell from the photo they are the correct lowers. Definitely interested in the crown and uppers too. If you could sort some more pictures that would be most appreciated. This place is great, thanks again.

Bump. Might also be able to make use of similar period Judys as I believe the castings were pretty much the same. Prepared to be corrected on that...

Wanted Rock Shox Sid 1999 or thereabouts. Condition unimportant, or perhaps borrow some for a bit?

Good afternoon, Due to an inherent flaw in my personality and mental state I have developed an interest in making small bicycles. By small, I mean 1:4 scale. I started with this Yeti SB66C and am now building a retro stablemate for it. It's going to have Rock Shox Sid forks, because that's...

Yeti build thread. Not in the wrong section.

Meanwhile, this has been happening... Just a quarter section to check fit size and alignment of knobs (fnaar). Need to tighten up the spacing a bit. The tricky part with the Z-Max compared to the Trail Kings on the Yeti is that the tread crosses the centre line of the tyre. I've had to split...

Tried that. Got a very polite message from the mods explaining that it was ineligible. I assume it's because it isn't actually a bicycle, therefore can't be entered into a competition for bicycles.

Thanks Iwasgoodonce. Slow progress, but progress nonetheless, is being made on the Z-Max-tyred stablemate. I'm juggling about four or five different projects at the moment, but keep getting drawn towards another little bicycle. I was going to start a new thread for it, possibly in the readers'...

Hardisty Team bike..... proper tyres page 3

Aah, Hardisty Cycles, the home of the mountain biiiiiiiiike. My first proper bike came from there in the early nineties. I worked (possibly an exaggeration) for Hardisty Cycles from 2001-ish, until John Hardisty retired and sold it to Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Operative sometime in the mid 2000s...

No, I don't have too many bicycles. Until it's time to move house

Surely "too many bikes" is another way of saying "not enough house"?

98+ BoTM 98+ Bike of The Month September 2024, now taking entries

Turns out that bikes entered must be actually real bikes. I'm out. Good luck everyone, I like the look of Benjabbi's Charge.

STX chainset taken apart to clean but how do the chainrings line up when re-building?

Correct. Notches line up behind the crank arm.
