    Love this, sounds like the bike has had a proper history. What kind of use will it be getting after you restore it, is she planning on riding it a lot on proper off road? If so I'd prioritise function over form.

    This is coming along a treat. When I had my slingshot the general consensus was they rode better with a rigid fork up front. You can think of them as being mid-suspension rather than front or rear so adding anything to either end can upset the balance. That said nothing wrong with trying it out...
