About 3 years ago I picked up a set of these bars pictured below. I didnt like the blue details so set about changing that. The blue and also the decals are under a clear coat so I was able to carefully scrape away the blue areas without disturbing the branding. Then the bars got a sanded down...

Plastic sleeve - spring - collet - barrel adjuster. Inside the barrel adjuster is a black part, the metal cylinder is supposed to slide on it but can stick. Try holding the lever end and giving the barrel a tug. If the collet opens then adjust tension and close the lever

Serviced a bike for a mate who had this type of QR. If the barrel is wound in too far the collet wont open. Also needs to be clean and free of grease or it can stick closed.

Body Pro P961 primer (olive). Custom Canz "Military Swamp Green" base. Spray Max 2K Epoxy clear - Matte. For filling I used TechniQ Super Fine. Various grades of 3M wet/dry and a 1000 grit 3M DA pad were also used. More on the project here...
