I've been given this bike by a friend, it had been sitting unloved in his garden.

I think it's a 1967 ish Spectra, but I guess the Shimano derailleur is later
Don't know anything about Colnagos
Nice lugs, but if it's been resprayed and you don't know the material it's difficult to say what it's worth.
Like everything, it's only worth what someone will pay for it.
See what the components are going for and add a suitable amount for the frame
Dawes Galaxies are very versatile bikes. I've had mine for over 30 years, toured extensively, used it for triathlons, and now as a commuter. Drivetrain Suntour, brakes Weinmann.
My daily rides are 80s 531 frames, I bought a 2006 Bianchi alu frame, carbon forks a couple of years ago, and am pleasantly surprised how rigid and quick it feels in comparison. Narrower, higher pressure tyres also have a big effect.
Nice pics from Cumbria, I grew up on the edge of the Lake District and loved conquering the passes. My most recent trips 135km from Milton Keynes to Chipping Norton, and 50km home from Aylesbury avoiding main roads. Can't post pictures yet.
I have had a Dawes Galaxy for over 30 years, toured on it, stripped it down and changed the gears and did 2 London Triathlons on it, and now use it daily to and from work.
