    My Dawes Genesis...A lost machine from the dawn of creation?

    Re: I see one on a daily basis in my garage. Bought it second hand a couple of years ago. Currently off the road as I need to replace the wheels. Also need to change the brake levers, and deal with a stuck stem. Hoping to get it back on the road soon.

    Re: Thanks, the paintwork is a bit bubbled in places, but the rust seems light. There also seems to have been something spilled on it, that does not seem to want to come off easily. I think the brakes will fit a 700 wheel. I got a mismatched pair off ebay, with a 5 speed Maillard freewheel...
