I picked this bike up today as it was local to me. I thought it might be useful as a parts donor or selling for parts - it appears to have a full mountain lx groupset. I am more user to tatty old Kona. Do you think the the bike is desirable as a whole if I clean it up or should I strip it down?

Looks good. I guess that will only work on cross bar not the seat post. Had hoped to find original but this is looking like a pretty good and cheap fix.
