Yep, still got the original 1998 rings on the old LX chainset, I also have a 2007 LX hollowtech II Chainset available with BB. Are the rings interchangeable between these models. I know I am asking the obvious, but you never know with shimano

Yip, got it.. My GT Zaskar reads 10 97 **** 18 So presumably, this is October 1997. when the first batch of next season models had been launched. Does this mean that it is an 18" 98 Acid blue Zaskar, manufactured in Oct 1997?

If I can remember right, the LE version was made from Easton ultralight tubing, whereas the standard Zaskar was 6061-T6 - mine is anyway :lol: Excellent pics by the way

Sounds just like the Lancaster that I live in...You wouldn't think we have not one, but two universities in Lancaster - yet we still get more than our share of village idiots I never take any decent bike into Lancaster for just that reason, & just to add insult to injury, our local council...
