Can anyone please let me know the correct bottom bracket size to fit my STS frame please? Also the correct BB axle length? Does anyone have an XT or XTR bottom bracket or a crank set in good/mint condition with the bottom bracket for sale by any chance?

Plus two - I am starting work on my 1998 STS 1000 DS frame - but depending on what I can find, the plan is to make this a top-end spec machine to drool over. Right now I am trying to acquire an XTR bottom bracket to fit the crank set I already have!

I just picked up a 1998 STS 1000 DS frame "bundle" from Mark and look forward to getting it built up. Does anybody have a suitable size XTR bottom bracket to fit this frame by any chance? I have a set of XTR cranks so if I can find a BB to match I will fit them for starters!

Thanks for the info - I had been told that the LE was longer than the Zaskar. My 16" Zaskar is polished and came with a full XT group set, so I am guessing it must be the same as most LE models, and if the decals were changed - impossible to tell if it was an LE or not.......but this something...

My Zaskar frame number is 01970218 - so with the information and help given so far I am guessing this dates the frame as being made in January 1997. It is also stamped 16 - the frame size in inches. Thanks for your help.
