    B.S.A Twenty folder question

Thanks Keith, fingers crossed all-round then! Just got a pic- the frame is the U-shaped one and not the 'H' frame one, so that makes it a mid 80's one I believe. Oh well, I'll leave it I think.

    B.S.A Twenty folder question

I should add that I asked the seller what width bottom bracket shell it took, to which they replied '70mm' which stumped me as I thought Raleigh 20's were 76mm?!

    B.S.A Twenty folder question

Hi folks I am umming and arring about buying a locally offered BSAtwenty folder. Is there any chance that this may have 68mm BSC standard Headset and BB threads, or did Raleigh get their claws in to even the earliest BSA rebadged bikes? Cheers Jon

2x Raleigh 531 frames and forks *ended*

Re: 2x Raleigh 531 frames and forks Hi GPW, The Royal is 23 inches (measured from the bottom of the BB to the top of the seat tube- not sure if you are supposed to measure from the centre axis of the BB) The Richmond is 24 inches, measured as above. The Royal feels the same as my Randonneur-...

    2x Campagnolo Chorus RD's

Hi agentorange, Thanks for your reply! The bolt is present, but I found it only after taking the pics! Good to know about the Ergo shifter! I was going to use Campy RD's on my two nice Raleigh frames (to match the chainset), but the Suntour Superbe and Superbe Pro are just too nice to keep...

    2x Campagnolo Chorus RD's

Hi Further to my last thread advertising a couple of NOS derailleurs I have here two Campagnolo RD's which are surplus to requirements! 1 x Chorus Model- C010-SM. £65 plus signed for delivery. NOS Nuovo Record RD, NOS Shimano RD *ended*

Hi folks Having started to sort through my collection of bits, I've settled on retaining a couple of Suntour RD's and flogging my other derailleurs. So, before I shove them on ebay, I'll start by putting them on here. I'll add a post later with a couple of Campagnolo Chorus ones, as Velobase...

First attempt at a commuter bike- Random Raleigh frame

Having perused the threads on here, I now think the frame is an 80's Raleigh Rapide. I'd lve to change those bloody forks, as everything else is lovely on the frame.

    Raleigh Randonneur

I have an early Randonneur as my main winter trainer. They are brilliant to ride and soak up the miles. A new fork may help get the best out of the ride quality. Quality bike, and on fleabay they fetch really good money.

A few photos from a lurking member

Hi folks, here's some pictures taken from a weekend away, where the missus got to ride her newly finished bike. The SA hub worked a dream and gear changes seemed slick. The basket is one cobbled together from a metal basket holder so is a bit weird looking. I'll get the mudguards later, but...

Same here- Stan's has some brilliant staff and the workshop guys don't force new parts down your throat. I've got a workshop in my garage, but as I'm at uni I have only been able to take my wheel building kit with me. Cracking bike you have! Makes my Lenton look like a tramp!
