Thanks for the replies! Looks as if it may be a bit more hassle than I originally thought! Will have a hunt, to see if I can get hold some sort of adapter, of maybe even make one. Found this post however, which may be an option...

Great, thanks for the reply. I'll get hold of one. What effect does this have on the chainline? I currently have a old Deore LX triple chainset. Should I be looking at running the chainring where the Granny ring is, or will the middle ring suffice? Thanks again.
