    lol, pics can't hurt. It did have the std after shock with it. He claimed it was 4 -5.5 inches of travel but he wasn't sure. My memory of them isn't that great to know what it should have been. I jusst rememeber being 15 and always thinking one day i'm getting one! Gaz

    I think the honest answer is i'll go for what the missus lets me get. If I can get the cube on the cycle to work scheme and she agrees I might do that and sell or dismantle the fsr. If not I might buy a san andreas and build it using the fsr parts.

    I fancy the idea of building one up as a xc bike, are they a good choice or is their better out there? It was the must have bike for me, just by the time I could afford one I found out about booze, girls, cars and motorbikes so never actually bought one.

    SRAM/Shimano compatibility

    My advice is dont mix and match unless youve seen a working group set on another bike. Yrs ago a locla shop sold me the a set of suntour shifters after telling me they were compatable with my stx group set. The long and short of it was the git lied!
