:lol: im looking to get new levers a new RH shifter and my chain and rear cassette look tired so i was thinking as im gonna replace the lot should i just get 9speed stuff. 8)

i currently run an 8spd cassette and 8 speed shifter will a 9 speed cassette fit on an 8spd shimano parrallax hub?? it just seems easier to get 9speed stuff these days thanks in advance mike :lol:

likes: GT- i had a backwoods as my 1st REAL mtb and loved it to bits, will have another GT 1 day just for nostalgic reasons :lol: SHIMANO- love there componants just wont buy antything else these days dislikes: SRAM- had a set of there shifters and wudnt touch them again...

just looking at a set of brand new deore's on ebay :lol: how much are u looking for mate?? :wink:

thanks for all the advice but i had a better look last night and there not stickers but more like there etched into the frame so i dont think i'll be removing them as i dont fancy repainting the whole frame. :?

hello just after a few bits local collection (west midlands) or ebay listings..... im in need of a rapid fire style RH 8speed shifter preferably LX, XT or deore must be cheap and with full length gear cable... pair of v brake levers must be black would prefer XT or avid.... 8)...

I'll have a better look tonight, could alweays have a go at 1 of the small 1's see how it go's before i try the large GIANT 1's on the main tube. i suppose if all else fails and the new decals are the exact same size and being as the old 1's are white and the new 1's will be black i could...

ok cool i'll give that a try............. not the nail varnish though (she'd kill me lol) they are stickers on bikes of this age arnt they coz they dont seem to look like the stickers i had on my old GT and i heard sumwhere they lazer them onto the frame these days?? cheers mike

I need some help, im thinking of replacing the stickers/decals on my GIANT but dont wanna damage the paint/frame, ive been told its a 2006 model so theyve been on there 4-5yrs so whats the best way to get them off i dont mind faded paint underneath as i will be replacing them with darker...
