Cook Bros Cranks - 110 BCD, Nuke Proof Bombshell Freehub 32H

The title pretty much says it all. I'm not too picky about the model of Cook Brothers Cranks (they're all drop-dead gorgeous), but 110 BCD is very important. Prefer black or silver, but again, not too picky. The Nuke Proof rear hub should be carbon and must be the 32H freehub variety...

    Boulder: Gazelle or Defiant?

Thanks Dr S, I am going to call it a Gazelle in the ad. All of the original ads that I've seen for the Defiant say it was offered with a Mag20, not the earlier RS-1. I wish I could keep it, but it's too small for me and I can't justify keeping a bike that I don't ride. So bye bye Boulder.

    Boulder: Gazelle or Defiant?

Hahahaha busted! There is a legitimate question in there, though. Is there a way to tell the difference? On second thought, I think I'll keep it. But if anyone, just out of pure curiosity, just happens to be wondering what it would cost to ship a bike, a Boulder Gazelle/Defiant say, to the...

    Boulder: Gazelle or Defiant?

I am getting ready to put my Boulder on eBay tomorrow but I don't how to identify the model. I think it was made around 1991. It has the original fork (which is a Rock Shox RS-1), so that seems like Gazelle. The serial # is 00091, which means nothing to me. The guy I bought it from called it a...

    Polishing titanium

Thanks WD. First off, what an incredible job with that resto! Attention to detail - holy @#$%!! My God your friggin brake cable housing looks better than most brand new CNC'd components. The bead blasted post, stem/bars, and bar ends look absolutely beautiful. What I'm more curious about...

    Polishing titanium

I will definitely hold off until you post pics of the newly bead-blasted frame. Where are you having it done? Is it an auto-body shop or something? What is it costing you? Thanks

Thanks! Time and patience are 2 things I happen to have plenty of. I'll give that a shot.

    Polishing titanium

I hope this hasn't been asked into the ground. I have a '98 Kona Hei Hei. The frame is getting kind of dull and showing handprints really badly. I'm not sure if these came with a clearcoat originally, as I bought mine used and it was bare - no stickers or anything. Does anyone know a way...

    King Kahuna build advice

I've got a 98 Hei Hei singlespeed. I was running a SID but it just always felt like crap. Waaaaaay too flexxy. I found a good deal on a 2002 Marzocchi X-Fly 100mm and I absolutely love it. Very smooth, full 100mm travel, and the fork locks in the compressed position, lowering the front end for...

The one and only "HOW MUCH IS MY xyz WORTH" thread

1995 TET Kona Hot I just picked this up. I've been wanting one for years. It's in near-mint condition. It's in time-warp condition. The frame is perfect. The components are perfect. The bike is absolutely bone-stock exactly as it came from Kona. I paid quite a bit for it but I had one of...
